Podgora is a small resort town located 7 km south of Makarska and 3 km away from the village of Tučepi - one of the most beautiful places on the Makarska Riviera. How to reach Podgora

In the summer season there are charter flights to the nearest airport in Split to Podhora. The remaining distance can be covered in comfort by bus or taxi. Travel from Split Airport to Podgora by taxi starts at HRK 730, and from HRK 70 by a minibus.

There is a mini taxi for 8 people every half an hour from the centre of Podgora (the stop is 200 m from Hotel Aurora) to the centre of Makarska; the fare is approximately 20 HRK.

Recreation and attractions in Podgora

Virtually all attractions in Podgora are located near the coast. In the beginning of the 18th century, defensive towers were built here to protect the area from the Turks.
